Why are we different from the rest ?
Because we aim to give full width coverage in the thickest possible protective material without interfering with the operation of the trunk or hatchback
Because we precision mold our parts to aerospace tolerances
Why do the tolerance have to be so high for rear entry protection ?
For five reasons :-
- Maximum coverage of the rear without touching the trunk lid or hatchback
- OEM quality so the fit must tightly conform tightly to the body,
- Upgrade the appearance of the vehicle
- A choice of finishes to match the paint or trim.
How do we achieve the high tolerances ?
The bumper profile is measured to under a millimeter in tolerances using the latest in 3D Laser scanners which download the profile direct to production tooling, the part then goes through a final trim process with robotic programmable routers to maintain repeatability in the production process .
What materials do we use ?
High impact ABS plastic only on the black, and with a clear acrylic top layer -coat to protect the high gloss finishes.
Note: Other companies overcome the problem of clearing the trunk lid or hatchback by simply using a thin film which not only offers minimal protection,but will also discolor and deteriorate after lengthy exposure to UV light.
